State qualifiers are required by the IKWF to register in the Elite divisions.
Elite wrestlers must declare a weight in one of the classes below:Novice Elite: 62, 66, 70, 74, 79, 84, 89, 95, 101, 108, 115, 122, 130, 138, 156, 177, 215
Senior Elite: 74, 79, 84, 89, 95, 101, 108, 115, 122, 130, 138, 147, 156, 166, 177, 189, 215, 275

We are staying at the hotel Pere Marquette (next door to the Civic Center)
There are 22 rooms on hold. There are 10 double rooms 12 rooms with a king
bed. There is an option to have a couch with a pull out bed. ALL ROOMS are on a
FIRST COME / FIRST SERVE BASIS ONLY.

Wrestling Meets - What To Expect
The following are suggestions from some of the Team Moms for wrestling parents to consider -
Suggestions on what to bring to meets:
What to expect at the weigh in?
Arrive early! Weigh ins usually start at around 7am at the location of the meet. Weigh ins are done with your wrestler wearing his singlet, with his shoes and headgear off. His nails will be checked and so will his exposed skin. Some locations charge an entrance fee as the meet may be a fundraiser for their organization. These fees vary and can range from $2-$5 per spectator. Be prepared to wait in line for entrance, wait in line for the weigh in and wait for the matches to start.
Night before meet:
**Weigh in cards will be available for purchase the Thursday and Friday prior to the weekend meet. The fee for weigh in cards will be approx $15. Important information regarding the meet (weigh in time, start time, address, entrance fees, etc.) will be posted on the blog the Wednesday prior to the meet**
Please remember to arrive early, seating is limited (pack a chair just in case, you can always go back out to your vehicle to retrieve it). The wrestlers will be divided up by level and weight class, be prepared for lengthy wait times between matches. Most locations have concessions, though it's always a good idea to pack some snacks and drinks. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask one of your Team Moms.

- Homework
- Cell Phone
- Camera

- Check skin for ring worm or any exposed wounds
- Make sure that they get enough sleep

Midwest Classic Planning Meeting
Interested in finding out more about the Midwest Classic? Interested in volunteering your time in assisting with the planning of this tournament?
We will have a meeting on Monday, November 23rd at the Bulldog Field House at 8pm.
"It is mandatory the every family be involved in out two tournaments, Midwest Classic and Jr. T-Bolt Open." (Item #11 on the Parent Informational Packet distributed on November 16, 2009 at the Parent Meeting)
**There will be volunteer sign-up sheets forthcoming to volunteer at the Midwest Classic, by time and position**

Spirit Wear Orders
We have Bulldog Wrestling "Spirit Wear" available for you to order for your wrestler (or you). There are samples out in the lounge area of the field house and order forms are located at the Team Mom table.ORDER DEADLINE #1 - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24th (for orders to be received prior to Christmas)
ORDER DEADLINE #2 - *AROUND* JANUARY 8th
ORDER DEADLINE #3 - *AROUND* FEBRUARY 12th
Just so you know, the Bantam "Team Wear" will included a long sleeve version of the Royal White Tie Dye Screen White T-Shirt and Royal Mesh Shorts. These should be in at the beginning of December.
What is the difference between "Spirit Wear" and "Team Wear"??
Team Wear - a uniform looking outfit that every wrestler per level has, to wear to duals, meets or practices
Spirit Wear - a neat little extra to give to your wrestler or for yourself or other family members. A way to show your pride in being a member of the Bulldog Wrestling Organization!
Candlelight Bowl Raffle Tickets
If you attended the Parents Meeting on Monday, November 16th you were given 10 raffle tickets to sell for our January 8th Candlelight Bowl. If you were unable to attend the meeting, we will get the tickets to you. Please see your Team Mom or John.
The raffle ticket stubs plus a check for $50 made out to TPAC is due the week of December 1st.
