Bulldogs Compete Hard at the Midwest Classic
The Tinley Park Bulldogs captured the 2nd place team trophy at the 39th anniversary of the Midwest Classic. 300 wrestlers came from 43 clubs to compete in one of the oldest tournaments in USA wrestling held at Andrew High School, Tinley Park on January 2nd, 2010. The competition was very strong and fierce. Our Tinley Park wrestlers all competed hard and awoke many that Bulldog pride is back and very strong. Three Bulldog wrestlers Shine at AAU Winter Nationals
Connor Gaynor, Brendan Gaynor and Austin O’Connor wrestled this past weekend at the AAU Winter Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska. All three wrestlers cam home with place finishes at this National tournament. Connor Gaynor took 2nd place as Austin O’Connor and Brendan Gaynor claimed individual championships. On his way to his championship performance, Brendan Gaynor defeated one of the top wrestlers in the country. Congrats to all three on their great performances.
Bulldogs capture Medieval Classic
This past weekend at the Medieval Classic, the Tinley Park Bulldogs captured the 1st place team trophy. Great performances were turned in by all Bulldog wrestlers on every level. Many championships were won with a lot of high place finishes. Congratulations to all Bulldog wrestlers on a great job.
Bulldog wrestlers prepare for IKWF State Duals
The IKWF SR. state divisional dual will be held Sunday Jan 24th at Plainfield HS. Weigh ins will be at 8am and the dual meets will start at @9am. Varsity coaches are selecting the roster for this and it will be sent out this week. Each team is only able to select a number of kids who are eligible to compete on the team. In certain weights they might select 2-3 wrestlers to be on the roster. Please note, not every kid on a roster is guaranteed to wrestle. This is all about match ups with our opponents and the coaches will select the wrestler at the time who they feel gives them the best chance to compete in that particular match. More details will be coming out this week.
Bulldog Intermediates Prepare for State Duals
The IKWF intermediate Duals will be held Saturday Jan. 30th in Danville, IL. Information will be out shortly. This event is for 8-10 year olds who are selected by the coaches.
